BOOKMATCH

Bookmatching

Bookmatching is created using slabs from the same block which have to be also cut from consecutive slabs as they come from the block, and cut exactly in the same place as the previous slabs. A very time consuming process but with outstanding results.

As the vein runs in various patterns through the face of the marble it also runs through the thickness of the slabs making it a real challenge the masons preparing the stone for installation.

Bookmatching four slabs from the same block is called quadmatching.
